Our neighborhood sent out a notice asking everyone to fly the American Flag for July 4th. Not considering us a flag flying type of family, I forgot about it. Turns out Jamey has a secret passion for flags. Since we already had a flag holder we went to the hardware store and picked up a flag. Jamey was appalled with me for grabbing just any old American flag when it is obvious to anyone that flags need to have each individual stripes sown and stars embroidered. $50 later we were on our way home, proud owners of a tremendous stitched flag.
